DR. UTTERBACK'S PHILOSOPHY...

My goal in broadcast voice work is to assist clients in developing a healthy voice that enhances meaning and a healthy body that will support that voice. My approach to broadcast voice work encompasses a broad range of areas all designed to improve delivery on-air. I work with clients on proper breathing for speech, healthy phonation, optimum resonance, and clear articulation. I give clients a method for marking scripts to enhance meaning and guidelines on how to sound more conversational. Because stress can undermine any improvement in on-air delivery, I focus on health and lifestyle issues as well.
